Torch Ginger (walking stick ginger) - This most spectacular flower can be 8 inches in diameter and the stems up to 5 feet in length. The flowers resemble exotic pinecones. In some Asian countries the flowers are used in cooking and the leaves made into paper.
Lauhala Foliage (leaf of the hala) - Every part of this remarkable tree can be used, leaves for mat & basket weaving, the wood for lumber and the fruit is rich in vitamin C. |
